Child Development Associate (CDA) or higher and complete at least 36 hours of training per year.
Experience Requirements - Minimum requirement of at least two years of teaching experience in a child care program and 2 years of management experience within a child care program with the ability to engage, inspire, and communicate with a team.
Must pass a criminal background check, FBI fingerprint check, and drug free.
Implements our center's philosophies, policies, procedures and systems to ensure safe, healthy environment in compliance with state standards achieving quality standards with accreditation agencies at all times.
Assists with recruiting, hiring, orientating, training, supervising and evaluating staff.
Ability to communicate with, motivate others, analyze and solve problems, fostering a positive work environment.
Assist teachers with the communication of the curriculum and program activities.
Must be a team builder.
Possess excellent customer service/communication skills.
Will be required to answer phones and greet prospective families and provide comprehensive tour of the center.
Represents the center to the public, community, parents, visitors and staff with professionalism and integrity.
Knowledge of early child development and appropriate practices.
Ensure a safe environment for the children in our care.
Able to complete observations of classrooms and teachers to ensure best practices.
Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.
Ability to build relationships with families and staff and create a dynamic environment where play and discovery go hand-in-hand.
Must have a flexible schedule, and able to open and/or close the center; this is a full-time, 40 hours per week position.
This position is paid hourly with minimal to no overtime.
Have the ability to juggle multiple duties, be detailed oriented and highly organized with the ability to resolve conflicts.
Computer proficient including Word, Excel, Procare Childcare Management System, Outlook and the ability to learn other programs quickly.
Be able to complete various letters, emails, signs, newsletters and reports.
Manage school in accordance with company financial and budgetary guidelines.
Purchase supplies, equipment, food and other materials necessary for program operations.
Assist in executing a marketing plan (both internal and external) necessary to maintain desired enrollment.
Able to complete the duties of a teacher in all age groups.
This position is a robust job that requires you to wear many hats.
Our perfect candidate will have already obtained her Director's License and have experience within the management of another child care center.
