RT CRANE / HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

PAL-CON, Ltd. repairs, services, refurbishes, manufactures, removes, and installs gas turbine regenerators for the natural gas and electric utility industries. Regenerators are built and installed for efficient heat transfer from one medium to another. The CRANE OPERATOR will be required to perform a variety of duties from moderately difficult to complex in order to ensure safe, timely, efficient, and accurate removal/installation of structures to specifications as required. PAL-CON, Ltd. utilizes 50-100 ton RT mobile cranes, 30-70 ton overhead interior cranes, and various other pieces of heavy equipment on site and in the shop.
The CRANE OPERATOR may be required to assist with all phases of demolition/installation on site as well as fabrication, modification, and general tasks in the shop. The CRANE OPERATOR must be familiar with safety rules and regulations as they apply to the work being performed by PAL-CON, Ltd. whether at the shop or on a job site. He/she will ensure quality workmanship and compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
Proper certification and relevant experience are required. A high school diploma or equivalent is also required. The CRANE OPERATOR may be required to work in an outdoor or indoor environment for extended periods of time in mild to extreme conditions. He/she must possess a valid state's driver's license and appropriate insurance (a CDL is a plus); must be able to climb ladders, operate equipment, operate hand or power tools; must be able to bend, lift, sit, stand, kneel, squat, etc. for extended periods of time; must understand, speak, and read English. He/she must take direction well, written and verbal. The CRANE OPERATOR must maintain a professional demeanor. The CRANE OPERATOR will report directly to the superintendent on the job site or in the shop over the area he/she is working in. He/she must follow the proper chain of command.
The CRANE OPERATOR's rate of pay is negotiable based upon his/her experience. The standard work hours for this position may vary. The CRANE OPERATOR will be required to travel with crews. This position is subject to a 90-day introductory period.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
