Machinist - Weekend Nights

Will be directly responsible for machining quality components to stated specifications.
Will be directly responsible for protecting machine tools from damage caused by "Crashes".
The position requires a high degree of independent thinking, attention to detail, and resourcefulness to translate specifications into component requirements and apply the best practices effectively.
Receives little to no guidance with difficult technical and scheduling problems.
Accuracy of machined components is required.
May be responsible for training and development of entry level machinist Grade 11/Grade 12/Grade 13
Safely Set Up a variety of machine tools.
Troubleshoot and edit part programs.
Provide positive Training/Mentorship for machinists.
Demonstrate effective problem solving/decision making to positively impact On Time Delivery.
Perform Autonomous Maintenance and Routine Preventative maintenance to ensure machine tool performance is maintained.
Perform in-process and first piece inspection.
Performs daily housekeeping duties.
Deburr parts using proper hand tools with required PPE.
Properly completes required documentation.
Expand ability by working in assembly, paint and test.
Operate machine to meet production requirements.
Detailed understanding and application of basic Lean Methodology.
Adhere to Fluid Control HSE policies and procedures.
Accuracy and attention to detail with a basic understanding of error proofing.
Fully competent in the function of Machinist Grade 13
Ability to train entry level machinist Grade 11/Grade 12/Grade 13

Generally 5 plus years machining experience, including the following:
The ability to build and set all tooling, including but not limited to: Turning tools, grooving, and roughing, finishing, and contour tooling.
Experience making tool and fixture offsets.
A thorough understanding of G and M codes, canned cycles & circular interpolation.
Must have experience in correct use and interpretation of all indicators, probing tools, as well as setting tool lengths at the machine.
Proper use of all measuring instruments, including but not limited to: ID mics, OD mics, Calipers, Blade mics, Tri mics, etc.)
Capability to identify and setup fixturing for the parts in the cell/machine in accordance with set-up documentation.
A thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Experience on the CMM preferable, MUST be able to interpret the CMM reports.
General knowledge of basic Math, Geometry & Trigonometry.
Good understanding of material properties preferred.
Must be able to use all functions of CNC controls.
High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred.
Must be able to pass a written and practical test of competency.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Describe general working conditions (i.e. noise level, temperature, around heavy machinery)
Majority of time spent in climate controlled shop environment.
Exposure to high noise, machinery and possible hazards when performing tasks in manufacturing areas of the plant.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Describe amount & frequency of physical requirements of the position (i.e. lifting, pushing, climbing)
Repetitive lifting of components up to 50lbs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
